Low Carb Cajun Shrimp Alfredo Zoodles
Shrimp Alfredo is a delicious classic that is creamy and cheesy! A mix of Cajun spices is included to make this dish just a little spicy and full of peppery flavor. For a ketogenic pasta meal, spiralize a low carb zucchini into noodles. The zucchini holds the flavor well and adds a nice al dente crunch!

Use a spiralizer to cut a medium sized zucchini into noodles. Set the zoodles aside for later as well.Step 3

Stir in the seasonings except for the pepper and the chopped shrimp. Let the sauce thicken for about 30 seconds.Step 6

Loved this! Did add mushrooms to it! 😋

I’ve made this one multiple times and it never gets old. Biggest suggestion is to let the zucchini and shrimp sit in the sauce for a while to heat since they are likely cold from the spiritualizing.

This is a really basic well known sauce .... Cream and spices or herbs. Just make sure that you do not boil the cream as it separates! You can cook a few veggies, even onions or mushrooms, in a little concentrated stock to provide excellent flavour ... Then add the cream. Tastes amazing over steak or fish.

The separation just happened to me. Find this video on how to fix it: https://youtu.be/J4meecYyxRo

This recipe is delicious. Didn't have a noodle maker so just peeled the zucchinis into ribbons.

This was lush. I added pasta for the family and grated the zucchini instead of noddles but was lovely all the same. Didn’t feel deprived of the family pasta. Very tasty indeed

Great recipe. I used a Mandolin to cut the zucchini and the noddles came perfect and never got soggy.

Whoaaaa, my husband drank the leftover sauce from his plate ! Definitely a hit. Tripled shrimp portion bc 30g pp is only 3 shrimp (!! Grrr) Also added zoodles and a splash more heavy cream. Still plenty sauce without adding too many carbs :)

My husband even said he’d eat it again!

Oh my gosh! I was too lazy to spiralize my zucchini. I read on someone’s review that they chopped zucchini same size as shrimp/prawn. Fandabbydozy. ❤️❤️❤️

Very tasty and will make again. I’m not a huge fan of zucchini noodles as they often get to soggy and also find it a nuisance to spiral them, so instead cut the zucchini into thin, small bite size pieces. Also add a bit more salt for flavor.

Next time don’t cook noodles. Just pour hot sauce over them when ready to serve and they won’t be soggy and heat from the hot sauce will slightly soften them so they aren’t raw .

Absolutely delightful!!! I made this today and will next week too. The flavors just explode and you will not miss the pasta. Zoodle 101.. Always allow sprinkle salt on zoodles to release the water. You are going to love it! I did.

OMG!! You won’t feel deprived at all if you eat this recipe! My shrimp wasn’t defrosted enough so I substituted some chicken. Even my hubby who’s not following any carb monitoring program LOVED this sample that I gave him. I’ll be making this again & again!

Yum! I used Tony Cachere's and more shrimp, and didn't cut them up 'cause I'm from New Orleans and we don't. Thank you!

I could bathe in this sauce! My whole family loved this! I did add more cayenne pepper because we like more heat.

1. With what do you cook the shrimp? 2. No way that 10 large shrimp only weigh 2.12 oz.
recipewriter 5 years ago
1. Simply cook the shrimp quickly to pink in a pan - no oils or butter needed. They will continue cooking in the sauce later in the recipe. 2. Correct. The incorrect weight is a technical error within the app. You can simply count by number of shrimp opposed to weight.

Just made this one... Wow... amazing... I replaced the combination of spices with Tony's though... but this was a hit throughout the house...

Yes to Tony Cachere’s!
