Keto Mocha Latte
This indulgent hot beverage features 2 of everybody's favorites: hot chocolate and coffee. This Keto mocha latte is the perfect beverage for chilly evenings. You can prepare it using a handful of pantry ingredients in just a few minutes.
What is a mocha, anyway?
A mocha, short for cafe mocha or mocha latte, is a chocolate-flavored coffee beverage made with espresso, chocolate syrup, and steamed milk. It comes in many flavors, such as white chocolate mocha, crème Brule mocha, and many more. This recipe features a homemade classic Keto mocha latte prepared with low-carb ingredients.
How to make this Keto coffee at home?
Traditional mocha is made using espresso, steamed milk, and chocolate syrup. This Keto coffee recipe uses a mixture of heavy cream, whole milk, and water to keep the carbs lower. Also, instead of using chocolate syrup, we opted for unsweetened cocoa powder and Keto sweetener.
How to steam milk for this Keto mocha latte?
Normally, milk is steamed in a milk steamer and added to a mug containing espresso and chocolate syrup. But since a milk steamer is not available in every household, we have used an easier stove top method. Add milk, heavy cream, water, cocoa powder, erythritol, and cinnamon to a medium pot over medium-low heat. Whisk together frequently until the mixture heats up and starts to steam. Pour the chocolate mixture into a milk pitcher and froth with a frothing wand and pour it over the coffee.
