Ingredients
Ground Pork
7 ounce
Shallot
2 tablespoon, chopped
Bacon
2 slice - 6" long
Oregano, Dried
1 teaspoon
Gourmet Collection Smoked Paprika by Mccormick
1 tsp
Yellow Pepper
1 small
Olive Oil
1 tablespoon
Salt, Sea Salt
¼ teaspoon
Black Pepper
⅛ teaspoon

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat. Finely dice the bacon and thinly slice the shallot. Add to the pan and cook until the bacon is browned and the shallot is tender.Step 2
Thinly slice the pepper and add to the pan along with the ground pork, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine. Pan fry until the pork is cooked through and the peppers are tender.

This is pretty good as written, but a little dull for us. We added garlic, a little more salt and topped with fresh cilantro.

I added tomato sauce and a splash of red wine vinegar and it came out like a goulash.

Made this last week, swapped oregano for basil and added 15gm fresh habenaro for-10gm of the capsicum , it reminded me of Pad Gad Pow Gai I miss so much from Harry's Bar in Thailand, im doing this again tonight

So good. The only thing I changed was that I added more spice. My picky boys asked me to make more so I defrosted another pound of ground pork!! Served over soba noodles. They were licking the plate. Keeper!

I never follow the spice amounts in a recipe and sometimes not even the suggested spices. I love spicy food.
