Keto Halloween Gummy Treats
These deliciously sweet Keto Halloween treats are a great alternative to traditional sugar-heavy candy. Flavored with fruit juices and a little low carb sweetener, these easy Keto gummies are simple to prepare and fun to make with kids. A healthy low carb Halloween treat the whole family can enjoy - guilt-free!
Is Fruit Keto?
Typically, fruit is avoided on a ketogenic diet with the exception of lower carb fruits such as berries. For these Keto gummies, we have used blackberries to create our purple bat candies and orange juice with a pinch of turmeric for our pumpkin candies. Although orange is not considered a Keto fruit, we have used just enough juice and zest to provide flavor, while keeping the carbs low. We have used orange purely for the color to create our pumpkin shape candies. If you wish to stick to lower carb fruits, you may use blueberries or strawberries and follow the steps as directed for the blackberry gummies.
What Molds Should I Use?
We have used Halloween shape molds for these spooky Keto treats. You may however, use any shape you desire. You will need mold trays that can hold 20 individual gummies. The best choice is silicone molds as they are easy for filling and setting, and the gummies will release from the tray with ease.

Step 1
Add the blackberries to a small saucepan with half a cup of water. Bring up to a gentle boil and bubble for a minute to soften the fruit. Reduce to a simmer and carefully crush the berries with a fork, releasing the juices. Simmer for 2 minutes to release all the flavor.Step 2
Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and half the lakanto syrup to the saucepan with the blackberry mix. Stir well to combine, melting the oil. You can use an alternative low carb sweetener if preferred, adding more or less to suit your taste.Step 3
Pass the blackberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl. Discard the fruit pulp. Sprinkle half the gelatin powder over the hot liquid and immediately whisk until smooth and completely dissolved.Step 4
Divide the berry gummy juice evenly between your individual selected molds. You should get around 10 gummies from this mixture. Place carefully in the fridge to start setting while you make the orange gummies.Step 5
Add 1/2 cup water, the orange juice, zest, turmeric, remaining coconut oil, and remaining syrup to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture up to a gentle boil. Reduce to a simmer and stir well to combine. Simmer for a minute to combine the flavors. You may use your preferred low carb sweetener, adjusting quantities to taste.Step 6
Sprinkle the remaining gelatin powder over the top of the hot orange mixture. Whisk immediately to combine. The gelatin should be completely dissolved, and the mixture should be smooth.Step 7
Divide the orange mixture between your remaining selected silicone molds. You will get ten orange gummies from this mixture. Transfer to the fridge for 1 hour or until completely set. Once set, simply pop the gummies from the molds and store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
