Keto Easy White Gravy

If you are looking for a way to add fat to your meal without many carbs, add this white gravy! It tastes good on practically everything. This Keto gravy has an onion flavor with a hint of garlic. It’s creamy but isn’t too heavy. Pour this gravy over your breakfast foods, a protein in your main course, or over some Keto biscuits. You can even dip low carb veggies or other snacks in it. You can store this gravy in a jar in your refrigerator. When it’s time to reheat, heat the gravy in a pan. You can add small amounts of cream to the gravy to help bring any separated ingredients back together. Each serving is ¼ cup, and the original recipe here makes about ½ cup.

What Should I Put My Gravy On?

Since this gravy is so easy to make, it’s just as easy to pair with almost any hot food. Make the Carb Manager Keto Fried Chicken Thighs and pour the white gravy over them in your next meal prep. For breakfast foods, you can replace any dish that would normally have hollandaise sauce with this gravy recipe. Pour the gravy over the Carb Manager Keto Crepes or any of the savory crepe recipes. There are many biscuit recipes that would pair well with the gravy too, such as the Carb Manager Keto Breakfast Bacon and Pepper Jack Drop Biscuits.

My Gravy Separated!

If your gravy separated while cooking or reheating, it’s most likely because you over-heated it. When you want to re-heat the gravy from refrigeration, stir it together first before adding heat to it. When cooking or reheating the gravy, always use low heat on the stove. This is why microwaving isn’t the best option for re-heating, if a stove is available to you. Slow and steady wins the race. When your gravy separates, take the gravy away from heat and stir in small amounts of heavy cream until it comes back together.

  • Step 1

Gather all your ingredients beforehand. This gravy comes together so quickly, you’ll want to have everything ready to go when you need it. If you want to have any meat in your gravy, like bacon or sausage, you’ll want to cook it beforehand. Use a separate pan for the gravy and any meat you cook.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Melt the butter in a wide pan over low heat. Add minced garlic to the butter and let it cook until it becomes lightly golden and fragrant. Don’t let the garlic brown too much. With the heat on the lowest setting, stir in the paleo flour. Let the flour sizzle and bubble in the butter until it turns into a soft, golden roux.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Pour the chicken broth into the roux and stir until you have a thickened broth. Then, stir in the salt, pepper, onion powder, and heavy cream. Let the gravy bubble over the lowest heat on the stove until it thickens. Take the finished gravy off the stove and let it cool and thicken a little more. Serve warm.
