Keto Paleo Pumpkin Coconut Macaroons

These treats are made for people who enjoy practicing Targeted Keto. They are filled with healthy fats and protein and a good carbohydrate source (from pumpkin puree and honey). These ingredients are perfectly acceptable for those on the Carnivore diet as well. Of course, carbohydrates should be used in moderation as a treat if following a Carnivore diet, but if you are active in the gym, carbs can be used around your workouts to help fuel performance. In essence, these would be an excellent pre or post-workout snack.

How is honey on the Carnivore diet acceptable?

Some proponents believe that honey is acceptable on the Carnivore diet to keep the body metabolically flexible. It is also technically a food source from an animal.

What should I use to portion these cookies?

These cookies would be best portioned with a teaspoon-sized cookie scoop. The cookie scoop will ensure that all of the cookies will stay the same shape and size (which is very helpful if you count macros).

Serving suggestion

Pair the carbohydrates in these coconut macaroons with healthy fats (to prevent from eating too many naked carbs) like this delicious steak https://www.carbmanager.com/recipe/keto-seared-steak-with-compound-butter.

These sound delicious! I’m on Keto, what can I use as a substitute for the honey? Thank you.
