Keto Silken Tofu Hummus
Hummus is a healthy and popular go-to snack for many people. However, traditional hummus is not Keto-friendly since the main ingredient is chickpeas. Don't worry, though, because this Keto silken tofu hummus is just as good, if not better.
This dip is one of the quickest Keto silken tofu recipes that you will come across. It takes 5 minutes to prepare, and no cooking at all. To make this spread, you have to blend the silken tofu with tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin powder, and olive oil. It's that easy.
What is silken tofu?
Silken tofu is a Japanese type of tofu that is undrained and unpressed. It has a creamy and silky smooth texture, thus the name. It is vegan, gluten-free, and low-carb, making it suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences. Silken tofu is perfect for many vegan Keto-friendly recipes, including dips, spreads, salad dressings, and sauces.
Is silken tofu gluten-free?
Yes, plain tofu is naturally gluten-free. But to stay safe, look for a brand that is gluten-free certified to make sure that it hasn't been cross-contaminated during processing or preparation.
What can you dip in this delicious low-carb hummus?
You can go simple and eat this hummus with raw vegetables like cucumbers, carrots, or lettuce leaves. Or you can go the extra mile and bake these Keto almond and parmesan crackers to go with it. : https://my.carbmanager.com/meals/recipes?dialog=food-detail:ug:25690509-934b-45d6-2fea-aed9a7d024e9
How long will this dip last in the fridge?
Unfortunately, this Keto tofu recipe doesn't stay fresh for long. It is best to eat this hummus instantly or store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Also, this recipe isn't freezer-friendly; the texture won't stay the same after thawing.
