This spiced tuna mayo makes a great Keto lunch filling or topping, packed with fats and flavor. Our low carb tuna mayo is prepared with creamy mayonnaise, earthy tahini, aromatic harissa paste, a hint of lemon, and fresh parsley. This spicy twist on a classic tuna mayo is perfect spread over low carb bread, layered over sliced avocado halves, or heaped into grilled zucchini boats.
What is Harissa Paste?
Harissa paste is a spicy blend that originates from North Africa. A basic harissa paste is prepared with a blend of hot chilies, a good helping of garlic, and a little acidity such as lemon juice. Many store-bought and online recipes for this spicy paste vary and can include additional spices and seasonings. What Kind of Mayonnaise Should I Use?

Parsley

Step 1
Flake the canned tuna into a mixing bowl. Add the mayonnaise, tahini, harissa paste and lemon juice. Stir everything together well to combine.Step 2
Finely chop the fresh parsley. Add the parsley to the bowl with the other ingredients. Stir the parsley throughout the tuna mayo.Step 3
Taste the tuna mayo and adjust seasonings and flavors as desired. You can add salt if needed. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
