Keto Air Fryer Kohlrabi Fries

Keto Air Fryer Kohlrabi Fries are an excellent choice for a vegetable side dish! The kohlrabi roots are peeled of their tough outer skin, which gives way to a tender vegetable on the inside that is perfect for julienning and dosing with healthy olive oil. These fries are seasoned with smoked paprika, pink Himalayan sea salt, and garlic powder, then thrown into an air fryer to crisp.

How do I prepare kohlrabi for fries?

Kohlrabi roots usually come with a plume of leaves. The leaves should be cut off and saved for another use as you can eat them. You should use a sharp chef’s knife to cut the tough outer skin off the root (the skin has a white-ish color while the inside is translucent). Once peeled, the root should be sliced into ¼” rounds and then cut into ¼” thick julienne slices.

What can I use if I do not have an air fryer?

If you do not have an air fryer, you can cook the fries in an oven at 400F, 200C until browned.

What does that serving size mean? 1 Container?? Surely, they don’t mean the entire pound?

The top says it’s a container of 6 so I’m guessing 6 servings. I’m new to this so don’t quote me

Since it’s just kohlrabi and oil just look up the values of the kohlrabi and then determine what serving fits your macros. I’m making them today. Planning on 3oz serving.
