Keto Coconut Cinnamon Trail Mix
If you’re a fan of tropical flavored snacks, this coconut trail mix will become your go-to snack. You can prepare it using a handful of pantry ingredients in under 15 minutes. This recipe is perfect for batch cooking; prepare a larger quantity and keep it in a jar in the fridge.
How to make Keto trail mix?
Making trail mix that is Keto-friendly depends on the components added. Many trail mix recipes contain candies, crackers, and other high-carb ingredients. This Keto trail mix with coconut comprises coconut flakes, raw cashews, almond slices, shredded coconut, and cinnamon, baked until golden. The result is a tasty snack that’s crispy, sweet, and caramelized.
How can you customize this trail mix?
Since coconut is the key ingredient in this trail mix, we suggest keeping the flaked and shredded coconuts and playing around with the remaining components. You can replace the almond slices and cashews with hazelnuts, pecans, peanuts, or walnuts. If you are allergic to nuts, you can swap the nuts for sunflower seeds, pepitas, or hemp seeds. As for the sweet component, feel free to replace the dried cranberries with dried blueberries, raisins, and apricots (if your macros allow) or leave them out for an even lower-carb snack.
Is this recipe gluten-free?
This recipe uses nuts, coconut, coconut oil, cranberries, and cinnamon as ingredients. All of these are naturally gluten-free. However, To avoid any allergic reaction, it is best to ensure that these ingredients weren't contaminated with other ingredients containing gluten in the manufacturing process.
