Best Paleo Air Fryer Candied Bacon

If you are looking for a delightfully sweet, salty, and fatty treat, look no further than this Paleo Air Fryer recipe for candied bacon! Pasture-raised bacon. Thickly sliced bacon is brushed with a mixture of maple syrup, a pinch of cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. It is then air-fried until wonderfully crispy. You will love how easy this recipe is to make and it is super family-friendly!

Why does the recipe say to use 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper?

Please use a pinch of cayenne pepper up to 1/4 teaspoon based on your personal preference.

Do I have to use pasture-raised bacon?

While we do believe pasture-raised pork offers a wide range of health benefits, from higher levels of Vitamin D to lower glyphosate levels, you are welcome to use conventional pork shoulder.

What can I do with any leftover bacon?

Any leftover bacon can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to achieve a crisp texture again.
