Keto Spanish Style Koftas

These delicious Keto koftas are inspired by the flavors of Spain and make a great snack, starter, or lunch option. Our low carb koftas are prepared with ground pork, smoky Spanish chorizo, aromatic garlic, a hint of lemon, and fragrant fresh rosemary. Once prepared, the mixture is simply shaped then baked until golden.

What Are Koftas?

Very similar to meatballs, koftas originate from western cuisine and are commonly prepared with ground meats, spices, and onion. Depending on the region, the flavorings and meat used may vary. Koftas are often shaped like sausages or oval-shaped meatballs and can be oven-baked, pan-fried, or cooked on kebab skewers. We have added Spanish-inspired flavors to our Keto koftas for a Mediterranean-inspired twist.

These low carb Koftas are incredibly versatile and may be served in a variety of ways. They can be a great protein option for your Keto dinner, served with cauliflower rice and a side of low carb veggies.     Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Finely chop the chorizo and rosemary. Crush the garlic. Add to a large bowl along with the ground pork, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

    Mix everything together well with your hands to combine. Divide the mixture into 10 even-sized portions. Shape each portion into an oval/small sausage shape roughly 3 inches long. Arrange the koftas across a shallow oven tray.

    Transfer the tray to the oven. Bake the koftas for 15 minutes or until golden brown and entirely cooked through. Serve with your favorite Keto sides.
