White Onion
1 medium - 2 1/2" diameter
Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon
Raw Egg
1 small
Cumin, Ground

Ground Coriander
1 teaspoon

Baking Soda
½ teaspoon
Turmeric, Ground
½ teaspoon
Salt, Sea Salt
¼ teaspoon

Step 1
Add the ground almonds, baking soda, turmeric, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper and lemon juice to a food processor. Pulse to combine.Step 2
Add the egg and blend to a smooth thick paste. Transfer to a mixing bowl.Step 3
Finely slice the onion and add to the bowl with the batter. Stir well, so that the onion and batter are combined.Step 4
Heat the oil in a small saucepan over a high heat. Once hot, scoop a tablespoon of the onion and batter mixture at a time and very carefully spoon into the pan. You should be able to fry 3 bhajis at a time. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and crisp, then repeat with the remaining batter. Carefully transfer the cooked bhajis to a sheet of kitchen paper to soak up the excess oil.
