Low Carb Halloumi and Sweet Chili Lettuce Wraps
These quick and easy Keto wraps make a delicious lunch or brunch option. Our low carb wraps are prepared with pan-fried halloumi cheese, our low carb sweet chili sauce, tender red onion, creamy avocado, and crisp lettuce leaves. These Keto wraps are simple to prepare, loaded with fats and flavor, keeping you satiated between meals.
What Sweet Chili Sauce Should I Use?
We have used our own low carb sweet chili sauce for this recipe. Store-bought chili sauces are often loaded with sugar and non-Keto compliant ingredients. Our Keto-friendly sauce is prepared with apple cider vinegar, low carb maple-flavored syrup, tamari sauce, fiery chili flakes, garlic, and ginger. You will find the recipe for the sauce in our sides section.
Can I Use a Different Cheese?
We have used halloumi cheese to fill our low carb lettuce wraps. Halloumi is a firm grillable cheese with a high melt point. If you wish to use an alternative frying cheese, you can swap the halloumi for slices of queso fresco or paneer cheese. You could also use a non-grillable cheese and simply layer the lettuce with slices of goat's cheese. Please be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes made to the original recipe.
