  • Step 1

    Add the pine nuts to a dry pan over a low/medium heat and toast until lightly golden all over – about 3 minutes. Set aside.

    Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a low/medium heat. Finely slice the garlic and add to the pan along with the cumin seeds. Cook gently until the garlic is tender.

    Melt the butter in the pan and add the spinach, salt and pepper. Toss the spinach in the fats and seasonings until just wilted then remove from the heat.

    Scatter the toasted pine nuts over the spinach to serve.
