What better quick and easy dinner to serve on a busy weeknight than this 5 ingredient chili? Full of delicious and refreshing flavors, this meal always hits the spot. Simply combine all the ingredients in a pot and let simmer for 5 minutes. Add your choice of toppings and serve.

Is salsa verde Keto-friendly?

Generally, salsa verde is Keto-friendly because it is prepared with low-carb ingredients. If you’re using store-bought, pay attention to the nutrition labels, as many brands add unnecessary sugar and fillers, making them higher in carbs.

Do you have to use rotisserie chicken?

You don’t have to, but using rotisserie chicken will save you time and work. It will also add a roasted flavor to your chili. However, if you have some leftover chicken lying in the fridge, this recipe is a great way to use it. If none of these options work for you, you can cook chicken from scratch. Just do what’s best for you.

Is this chicken chili suitable for meal prep?

This chili dish is one of the best Keto 5 ingredient meals for meal prep because it’s easy and budget-friendly. The next time you cook this dish, double or triple the recipe, serve some of it for dinner and store the rest in air-tight containers. Keep the containers in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze them for up to 3 months.

What toppings pair well with this Keto chicken chili?

Since this Keto 5 ingredient chili is full of herbs, you might want to top it with something rich like avocado or sour cream. Also, cilantro, parsley, jalapenos, and tomatoes are great additions that complement this dish.

Disclaimer:

Salt and pepper are considered staple ingredients, and thus shouldn't be considered part of the 5-ingredients. Also, coriander is used as a garnish for this recipe, so feel free to leave it out if sticking with 5 ingredients.

How can one bowl of this have 56 G protein and over 300 calories? It is basically broth and chicken but not that much chicken. Nutrition seems way off.

This is a chicken soup with little flavor. Highly recommend to use this as a base and add in cauliflower rice, more spices and possibly veggies.

We like thick chili, so this was not quite what we were looking for. However, I did use it as a “base”, added heavy cream, more spices, and a slurry, and voila! It tasted very good.

How much heavy cream do you add and at what step did you add it in?

What about a adding riced Cauliflower? Just a small amount to fill in for the beans but not so much to make it thick? When I fix this that is what I will be doing, I’ll let you know how it turns out!

How did it taste with this change? Worried it will be too thin as it is in this recipe.

Delicious recipe! It is more soupy than "chilli" as stated previously. Could be because it's missing beans or rice and most beans and if course rice arent keto friendly... I did however add sour cream and cheese to mine to make it a tad bit thicker 😋 so tasty! My gf who is not doing keto, enjoyed it as well and got seconds!!

Add a tsp or 2 of Xantham gum! That will help thicken it!

We loved it. Got the already shredded rotisserie chicken...so easy.

Made this exactly the way the recipe stated. It was very very tasty. I did not add salt because the chicken broth alone was already salty. I also thought it called for too much water, or maybe we should call this soup instead of chili. Either way, it was delicious. For my teen son, I made a side of rice to go with it.
