Keto BBQ Chicken Pizza
This BBQ Keto pizza recipe has the best pizza crust for a Keto pizza. It is simple to make and comes together in a few quick steps and less time than regular homemade pizza. It doesn't require any proofing time, and the fathead dough crust is fluffy and slightly crispy at the bottom. This Low-Carb dinner recipe for 2 tastes just like the real deal!
Can you make this Keto pizza with coconut flour?
Yes. To make the pizza crust using coconut flour, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in the same amount, as shown in the recipe. Then, add ¼ cup coconut flour and 1 egg. Mix and knead the dough to form a smooth pizza crust dough. Alternatively, you can use a food processor to get a hassle-free, smooth pizza dough.
How to store this healthy dinner for two?
There are many ways to store this pizza. You may opt to store it uncooked or cooked. To store the already kneaded fathead dough pizza crust, wrap the dough ball in plastic wrap and store it in the fridge for up to a week. Roll it out when you are ready to make it and bake it as usual. To freeze, wrap the dough ball in plastic wrap and freeze it for up to 1 month. Allow it to thaw completely, then roll and bake the crust first before adding the toppings and baking one more time. Alternatively, you can pre-bake the pizza crust before refrigerating or freezing. The pizza filling can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
What other toppings can you add to this pizza?
The choice is entirely yours. You can add as many or as few toppings as you wish. Some of the toppings that go well with this pizza include crumbled goat cheese, fresh herbs like basil, parsley, coriander, or chives, and vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, olives, sliced tomatoes, zucchini or mushrooms.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and grate the mozzarella cheese. To a large microwave-safe bowl, add 1 ½ cups of mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave until the cheese is just melted, and mix the two kinds of cheese together using a spatula while still warm and set aside to slightly cool for a few minutes.Step 2
Add in the sunflower seed flour and egg. Mix well to combine using a spatula until a smooth dough is formed. Ensure that no lumps of flour are left behind. Feel free to use your hands to knead the dough to ensure a smooth dough is formed.Step 3
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread out the dough on the parchment paper to about ¼ inch thickness. You can use a rolling pin with the dough sandwiched between 2 pieces of parchment paper or your hands. Then, use a fork to poke holes throughout the crust to prevent bubbling. Bake for 7 minutes until slightly golden.Step 4
Meanwhile, slice the grilled chicken and red onion. Mix the chicken with the BBQ sauce, and set aside. Once the crust is done baking, add the chicken to the pizza and top with ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese. Scatter the onion slices on top then return the baking sheet to the oven.Step 5
Bake the pizza for 9-10 minutes or until well cooked. If you would like to brown the cheese on top of the pizza, feel free to place the pizza under the broiler for about 2 minutes. Slice the pizza into 6 slices. Garnish with any fresh herbs of your choice.
