Keto Air Fryer Alfredo Shrimp
Yes, the whole family can enjoy Keto air fryer recipes! Try this alfredo shrimp recipe when you’re having Italian-themed cuisine on the table. Jumbo or large shrimp are dredged in an almond flour breading made with parmesan cheese and a hint of lemon. It only takes about 15 minutes to cook the shrimp in your air fryer, and the breading comes out perfectly golden and crisp. You’ll make a Keto alfredo sauce on your stovetop. You can use the sauce as a dipping sauce with the shrimp, or pour it directly over your food. You are also welcome to use this air fryer Keto recipe as part of your meal prep. For your convenience, the macros listed are for each individual piece of shrimp, so you can easily add as many as you need to your food log.
My Sauce Isn’t Coming Together
If you’re having trouble making your alfredo sauce smooth and creamy, you may just need to adjust your ingredients or cooking temperature. If you are seeing grated pieces of parmesan cheese that aren’t melting, it means you need more cream added. Add just 1 teaspoon of cold cream to your alfredo sauce off the heat and stir until the sauce comes together. Make sure you always cook alfredo sauce over low heat so it doesn’t separate.
Meal Ideas For This Recipe
This air fryer Keto recipe for alfredo shrimp makes a great snack or appetizer, but you can also incorporate it into larger meals. Make Keto shrimp alfredo pasta with spiralized zucchini noodles or shirataki noodles. If you liked Keto mashed “potatoes” (made with cauliflower), you can top your mountain of mash with the shrimp and alfredo sauce. You could even make an Italian-themed salad.

Step 1
Prepare the shrimp by peeling and deveining them. Use a paper towel to dry off the shrimp, and place them in a mixing bowl. Toss the raw shrimp with salt, pepper, and paleo flour until all the pieces are dusted with seasoning. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and water. Now, turn on your air fryer to start preheating to 350 degrees.Step 2
On a clean plate, combine the almond flour, parmesan cheese, lemon zest, pepper, garlic powder, italian seasoning, and parsley to make the breading. One by one, dip the seasoned shrimp in the egg mixture, let the excess egg drip off, then roll in the almond flour breading. Make sure each shrimp is fully coated in breading before arranging it on your air fryer tray. Cook the shrimp in your air fryer for 12-15 minutes or until your see the breading has turned golden brown and crispy.Step 3
While you’re allowing the cooked shrimp to cool, you can make the alfredo sauce quickly. Melt the butter in a small pot over low heat, then stir the heavy cream in. Stir and heat the two fats until they emulsify in the pot. Then, stir the parmesan into the pot. Stir until the cheese is melted and you have a thick and creamy alfredo sauce. You can turn the heat up as needed to melt the cheese, but don’t let the sauce simmer and separate. Enjoy the shrimp with alfredo sauce for dipping.
