Ingredients
Green Beans (string Beans), Raw
3-½ ounce
Bacon
2 slice - 6" long
Thyme, Fresh
2 teaspoon, chopped
Garlic
1 clove
Lemon Peel Or Zest Raw
1 tsp
Olive Oil
1 tablespoon
Salt, Sea Salt
⅛ teaspoon
Black Pepper
⅛ teaspoon

Step 1
Add the green beans to a pan of boiling water and simmer for 4-5 minutes until just tender. Drain completely.Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium heat. Roughly dice the bacon and add to the skillet until just cooked through.Step 3
Thinly slice the garlic and add to the pan, sweating gently until tender and the bacon is crisp and golden.Step 4
Add the green beans, lemon zest, thyme, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine and sauté for 2 minutes. Serve hot.

Very good. I used 1 TBSP leftover bacon grease instead of Olive Oil. DELICIOUS! The Thyme adds a fresh taste to it. I didn’t have any lemon however this still turned out great.

This is so delicious! I really don’t even need garlic or lemon but combined with the fresh thyme it just can’t miss!
