High Protein Ground Beef Casserole

This savory ground beef casserole is one of our favorite Keto summer main dish recipes. It's easy to prepare and tastes absolutely delicious, making it a perfect option for various gatherings. This filling dish has 39g of protein and just 3g of net carbs per serving – an excellent Keto-friendly and high-protein lunch or dinner for the entire family! We added some cayenne pepper to the meat mixture, but a few drops of hot sauce would also work perfectly. You can also add some extra cheese to the meat mixture, but that's completely optional. This easy casserole is best when served while still fresh and warm with some chopped parsley or a dollop of sour cream.

Is this dish freezer-friendly?

Yes, this fantastic ground beef casserole is freezer-friendly. Cut the casserole into equal portions and cool them completely. Freeze them separately in airtight containers for up to three months.

Can I add some other cheese?

Shredded mozzarella would also work perfectly for this recipe. You can use it instead of cheddar or add some to the meat mixture for an even better cheesy texture. You can also add some extra cream cheese or crumbled feta to the meat base.

Used 90% lean ground beef to reduce the grease. It was fabulous! A keeper for sure ❣️

Made this yesterday. Not good! Very greasy. Weird texture, like eating SOS. What a waste of good ingredients

Sickeningly greasy - the ground beef should be drained before adding the other ingredients. Then it would be delicious.

It would not be a problem if you buy proper ground beef (dont buy from a supermarket)
