  • Step 1

    Dice the chicken thighs and add to the base of a slow cooker. Slice the mushrooms into thick wedges and add to the slow cooker along with the shallot, garlic, cream cheese, horseradish, stock and lemon zest. Season to taste if required. Give everything a good stir and mix together well to combine. Cover and cook on medium for 3 hours.

    Turned out great. Part of the way through cooking it in the crockpot the electricity went out, so I put it in a Dutch oven and simmered it over the gas cooktop and added a pinch of xanthan gum to thicken it along with a few tablespoons of heavy cream. I used the leftovers to top off some scrambled eggs for lunch the next day.

          I'd put it on high if your there.. low for 6 hrs while your not.
