Keto Thai Iced Tea
You’ll make your taste buds tingle with this sweet, bitter, creamy, smooth iced tea that is unlike any other you’ve ever had. Keto Thai iced tea is made with black tea, a handful of aromatic baking spices, some flavoring extracts, and lots of creamy coconut milk. You can make the tea on your stovetop, or go the traditional route and pull the tea by pouring it back and forth vigorously between two glasses. With a little practice, anyone can do this at home, but following the recipe here may make less of a mess! If you’ve never had Thai iced tea before, let other users know what you thought of the taste in the comment section.
Other ingredients needed for the recipe
Please note that you will need to have some aromatic ingredients on hand. These ingredients are not included in the recipe because they will not be eaten. Include one pod of star anise and one stick of cinnamon to steep in the tea. You may choose other aromatic spices you’d like to include in the tea as well.
What makes the recipe Thai?
Thai iced tea is a popular style of iced tea and it’s simply named after its place of origin! The Keto Thai tea recipe is notoriously sweet, but you can still make it on the Keto diet. Coconut milk is used to thicken and flavor the tea as well. A unique blend of spices flavors the black tea for a taste you have to try to know.
Can I chill the iced tea in my refrigerator?
If you’d like to quicken the chilling process, you can chill the black tea in your refrigerator BEFORE you add coconut milk. Otherwise, the coconut milk will separate and harden in your refrigerator. After chilling the tea, let it come to room temperature before you rapidly whisk in the coconut cream.

Step 1
Brew black tea in 8 oz of hot water per serving in a small pot. Include cardamom as well as the star anise and cinnamon stick that were mentioned at the beginning of the recipe notes. You can choose to make the tea darker with a second bag of black tea since the tea will be very sweet.Step 2
After brewing, stir vanilla extract, almond extract, liquid stevia drops, and coconut cream into the tea. Strain the tea and discard the bags and all aromatics before allowing the tea to cool. Let the tea cool at room temperature, which will take at least 1 hour but may take longer (time will vary per person).Step 3
For serving, fill a 16 oz glass with ice. Pour a serving of chilled tea over the ice to fill the glass. Top the glass with a tablespoon of coconut milk. The coconut milk can come from either a carton or a can, as long as it’s not separated.
