It’s a quick and easy midweek meal option that is ready in under 30 minutes! For this Keto BBQ recipe, you can use fresh or frozen shrimp. If you're using frozen shrimp, defrost overnight in the refrigerator by placing the shrimp in a sieve or colander set over a bowl. This setup will help to prevent the shrimp from getting waterlogged as the ice melts.
What type of shrimp is best to use?
This recipe is very versatile, and you may use any shrimp you can source. Typically colossal shrimp or jumbo king prawns would work best for this recipe. You can use raw or cooked, peeled or with shell. Just keep in mind that cooked shrimp require less cooking time, and shrimp with shells keep the shrimp moist and add more flavor to the sauce.

Step 1
Mince the garlic and set aside. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet set over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and saute for 1 minute.Step 2
Add the shrimp, black pepper, cajun seasoning, dried oregano, and dried thyme to the pan. Cook the shrimp, stirring, until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.Step 3
