  • Step 1

Prepare the cod by laying it down on a flat surface. If the filet is long, slice it across in half for an easier cooking process. Sprinkle HALF the salt, pepper, and onion powder over the exposed tops.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a medium sized skillet over high heat. Place the fish seasoned side down in the oil. Sprinkle the remaining seasonings over the bare exposed fish.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Cook the fish for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fish. You want both sides to have a crisp, golden brown exterior.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Once done, set the cooked fish aside to rest. Meanwhile, wipe the skillet clean and melt the butter in it over low heat. Mince and toss in the garlic clove and 1-2 slices of lemon. Let the butter cook with the ingredients for about 30 seconds to become fragrant.
    Step 4
  • Step 5

Finally, return the fish to the butter sauce and sprinkle in the fresh dill. Place a lid over the skillet and let the fish and sauce marry together for 1-2 minutes over the heat.
    Step 5
  • Step 6

    Enjoy!
