Keto Creamy Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew

You can buy cold brew coffee from the store, but it is way tastier to make it at home! Plus, making it at home allows you to choose your coffee grounds and use all-natural, Keto-friendly ingredients. This Keto Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew is perfect for those ready to embrace fall flavors while still enjoying the last days of summer with a cold drink. Dark roasted coffee grounds are soaked overnight in cool water and double-strained the following day. The coffee concentrate is mixed with a little water to result in an easy-to-make cold brew with a smooth taste.

How can I make this Paleo or vegan?

To make this cold brew Paleo or vegan, replace the heavy cream with canned coconut milk that has been thoroughly chilled. Alternatively, you can use other non-dairy milk, but canned coconut milk is the creamiest.

What is the best way to make cold brew?

Cold brew is smooth and full-bodied because the coffee grounds are steeped in cool water overnight. This process leaves most of the bitter flavor compounds behind, resulting in a mild and mellow coffee with low acid notes.

How can I make my cold brew extra creamy?

Instead of diluting the coffee concentrate with water, try diluting it with coconut milk or heavy cream. Diluting the cold brew with coconut milk or heavy cream is helpful when you are trying to add more fats into your daily macros on a low carb diet.

Recipe Steps

  • Step 1

Combine the ground coffee with the cool, filtered water in a French press. If you don’t have a French press, you can place this mixture in a pitcher instead. If using a French press, you will only need to filter it one more time. If using a pitcher, you will most likely need to filter it twice to remove residual coffee grounds.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Allow the coffee mixture to sit at room temperature overnight (about 14-18 hours). The next day strain the coffee through the French press filter into another coffee filter sat inside a strainer over a measuring cup or bowl. This process will strain the mixture twice.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Once the coffee has finished dripping, add the ground spices to the coffee concentrate. To make it easier, you can use 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice mix instead of individual spices. Whisk well to incorporate the spices.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Divide 2 oz of coffee concentrate into a glass along with 4 oz of cold water with plenty of ice cubes. Add in three tablespoons of heavy cream per glass of cold brew. If you like a little sweetness, feel free to add sugar-free syrup or liquid stevia.

According to the recipe above it stats to put in pumpkin spice opposed to the individual spices and whisk. Did you taste any pumpkin at all?
