Our low carb dinner recipe is prepared with chicken drumsticks, garlic powder, warming ground ginger, fresh orange juice, low carb maple-flavored syrup, tangy tamari sauce, and a splash of sesame oil. Once prepared, this one-pot Keto dish is simply oven baked until the chicken is golden and lightly caramelized.

What is Tamari Sauce?

Tamari sauce originates from Japanese cuisine. Much like soy sauce, it is prepared from fermented soybeans. The main difference between the two sauces is that tamari is typically made without wheat. This makes it a great option for those who need to be strictly following a gluten-free diet. Please be sure to check the labels to ensure that the sauce is gluten-free if required. If preferred, you may swap the tamari for soy sauce. Please be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes made to the recipe.

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the orange juice, garlic powder, ground ginger, black pepper, maple-flavored syrup, tamari sauce, and sesame oil to a small bowl. Whisk well to combine. You may adjust the seasonings to taste.
