Best Keto Tuna Salad
There is nothing like a simple and easy-to-make Keto Tuna Salad! You will love our Keto tuna salad recipe with wild-caught canned tuna, avocado oil mayo, diced celery, kosher salt, and lemon juice. The ingredients are mixed into one bowl and are ready to serve immediately. You can use this Keto tuna salad recipe on top of lettuce like a salad, or you can serve it on Keto bread sprinkled with fresh parsley and cracked black pepper. Either way, it makes for a quick meal high in protein and healthy fats to keep you full and satisfied throughout the afternoon.
What is the best type of canned tuna to use?
We prefer to use wild-caught canned tuna. If that is not available, then feel free to substitute it with conventional canned tuna. However, wild-caught tuna tends to have more flavor and fewer contaminants. Tuna fish itself has a whole host of vitamins and minerals like iron, magnesium, potassium, selenium, phosphorus, vitamin B12, B6, and riboflavin.
What is the best mayo to use?
The best mayo to use is avocado oil-based mayo. We recommend steering clear from vegetable-based oils like soybean and canola oil which is the primary ingredient in most store-bought mayonnaise. However, you can find mayos that solely use avocado oil. If that is not available, you can make your own mayo. You can find a few mayo recipes on Carb Manager.
What is the best way to store finished tuna salad?
Tuna salad can be stored in the fridge for up to three days and used for sandwiches or salads.
To make the ultimate pairing, serve this Keto Tuna Salad with our Keto Avocado Cucumber Salad!

I love The celery and onions in the tuna I usually don't do celery or onions I usually do relish and eggs. This is something that I may incorporate in my meals more often.

I put the tuna on fresh from the garden cucumber slices rather than bread. Delish!

Question: is the serving of 1 plate dividing this recipe in 4ths? It says this makes 4 plates.

If you type in 1 in the box for the number of plates it will alter the ingredients for you

This is a good recipe, but, there are carbs in keto bread, and they have not been added in. Even though they show 2 slices in recipe.

Hardly any carbs in Keto bread. Just read the label. Healthy Life has zero!

This is pretty much how I make my tuna salad but instead of using bread I will use pork rinds and use them to dip into the tuna.

It's also really good on homemade cheddar cheese crisps tastes similar to a tuna melt!
