  • Step 1

    Use your hands to form a rough log shape with the cream cheese. Transfer to the fridge to firm for 15 minutes whilst you prepare the coating.

    Finely chop the pecans, walnuts and rosemary and add to a frying pan along with the oil and syrup. Turn the heat to medium and toast the nuts gently until fragrant, stirring occasionally to ensure they are well coated in the seasonings.

    Set the nut mixture aside and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine then leave to cool completely.

    Remove the cheese log from the fridge and sprinkle the cooled nut mixture onto a plate or clean work surface. Roll the cheese log in the nut mixture until evenly coated all over.

    Cover the log in plastic wrap and transfer to the fridge to firm for 30 minutes before serving.
