Keto Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew

You don’t have to spend another penny at any coffee shop, splurging on sugar-free alternatives and dairy substitutes. You can make your own pumpkin spice-flavored coffee drinks at home with a fraction of the ingredients that are all-natural. This cold brew recipe is easy to make because you just have to pick your favorite brand of cold brew.

What is pumpkin spice milk?

You’ll make pumpkin spice milk using almond milk, some whole dairy fat, real pumpkin puree, and a couple of spices. Although the pumpkin milk itself is highly concentrated with flavor, it’s perfect for pouring into any Keto coffee drink. You’ll love pouring your cold brew coffee and pumpkin spice milk together in an insulated transportable coffee cup before heading out the door in the morning. Just add a plastic-free straw and your pumpkin spice look is complete!

Ways to make cold brew coffee?

If you want to make your own cold brew, there are a few options. Some coffee machines have an option to brew cold brew coffee without you having to do anything extra. Otherwise, you can brew your favorite brand of coffee as you would normally, but allow it to continue brewing overnight in your refrigerator as it chills down. You can also make cold brew coffee with a French coffee press, leaving the coffee grounds to steep for 24 hours or more.

What is the difference between cold brew and iced coffee?

Cold brew coffee is known for being stronger than regular coffee because it brews for longer while it continues to chill down to a cold temperature. Iced coffee on the other hand will be regular-strength coffee that is chilled before being mixed with other flavors. Iced coffees tend to include more sugar and sweet flavorings than cold brew drinks. Unless you’re a connoisseur with a refined taste for coffee, it’s very hard to tell the difference between a cup of black cold brew and iced coffee!

  • Step 1

The quickest way to make this recipe is to use premade cold brew, whether that’s your own homebrew or something you buy at a store. If you have to make cold brew first, make it long enough in advance so there’s time for the cold brew to chill. You can refer to the recipe introduction to guide you through some different ways to make cold brew coffee.

Next, to make the pumpkin milk, heat almond milk, heavy cream, and canned pumpkin together until the liquid just reaches a simmer. Stir the ingredients together and add in vanilla extract, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and liquid stevia, then adjust the pumpkin milk to your taste, but remember you want very rich flavors to flavor your coffee. Take the pumpkin milk off of the heat and use a hand immersion blender to fully blend the milk together. Allow the pumpkin milk to cool completely in your refrigerator before using it in any iced coffee.

To make your pumpkin spice cold brew, fill a 12-ounce glass or larger with ice (or you can omit the ice). Pour approximately ½ cup of cold pumpkin milk over the ice, then follow by pouring your cold brew into the glass all the way to the top. You may need to stir the pumpkin milk to evenly distribute it into the coffee.
