How much shrimp can I eat on a Keto diet?
There are approximately 7 grams of protein in about 1 ounce of shrimp. However, there’s almost little to no fat in shrimp. On the Keto diet, you’ll need to keep that in mind. The best suggestion is to decide how much protein you can consume in your meal, then add fat using other ingredients. Add oil and butter for an easy way to include more fat in your meal.

Step 1
Peel and de-vein whole shrimp and pat them dry before adding them to a mixing bowl. Add all of the ingredients except for the butter to the bowl. Fold the ingredients together with a spoon until the shrimp is coated in all the oil and spices. Cover the bowl and marinate the shrimp for at least 1 hour, but you may marinate longer.Step 2
After marinating the shrimp, heat a non-stick skillet on your stove over medium-high heat. Once hot, add all the shrimp and any excess marinade to the skillet. Cook the shrimp for just 2 minutes on one side or until they turn pink. Turn the shrimp over and reduce the heat to medium-low.Step 3
Cut the butter into pieces and add it to the skillet. Let the butter melt and stir the shrimp to coat it in all the melted butter. Let the shrimp cook until just done on the other side. Serve the shrimp hot with the buttery sauce that has collected in the skillet.
