Keto Cheesy Garlic Bread

Our Keto Cheesy Garlic Bread is one for the books! This delicious Keto bread is baked and then cut in half. Once cut, the Keto garlic bread is doused with a minced garlic and salted butter mixture. It is so delicious! Once the bread is buttered, parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese are added on top and then broiled until nicely golden brown and bubbling. A kid-friendly recipe, this cheesy garlic bread is one for the entire family.

What type of cheese should I use on top?

Mozzarella is a classic Italian cheese. However, we have found that Mexican Chihuahua cheese is also a great replacement for mozzarella, with excellent flavor and stringy pull.

Do I need to use ground psyllium husks, or can I replace it?

Psyllium husk is critical in this recipe and cannot be substituted with ground flaxseed.

  • Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Combine the almond flour, baking powder, sea salt, psyllium husk powder, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl. Use a whisk to combine the ingredients.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Next, add in the eggs. Then add the olive oil. Whisk well to incorporate the ingredients.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Pour the dough into an 8” x 8” pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 25 minutes or until puffed and cooked through. Allow the bread to cool slightly so you can handle it.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Then, cut the bread in half exposing the inside. To do this easily, cut the loaf in half from top to bottom and then slice each half horizontally. In the meantime, melt the butter in a bowl with the minced garlic cloves and ¼ tsp kosher salt.
    Step 4
  • Step 5

Spread this mixture over the top of the cooked bread. Be sure to spread the mixture over every nook and cranny. If you like things extra salty, add a tiny pinch of salt on top of each slice.
    Step 5
  • Step 6

Then top the bread with parmesan cheese and mozzarella. Next, sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the top. Broil the bread with the cheese for 2-3 minutes or until nicely browned. Cut into 24 slices and serve immediately!

It was not good at all. Poor texture and dry. Tasteless and an odd smell when lifted to my mouth for a bite. Couldn't eat even one piece.

Nice change from fat head garlic bread, but I don't think I will make this again. It is more like bread, definitely add the recommended pinch of salt to each piece before adding cheese.
