Keto Coconut Turmeric Fat Bomb Bites

17 ratings

These little fat bomb bites are completely unsweetened yet taste sweet! The combination of coconut and almond provide a great base for those of us who are dairy-free. Turmeric is an excellent anti inflammatory addition to these bites, and the pumpkin seeds provide some crunch, along with small amounts of zinc, magnesium and iron. They’re a bit addicting, so it’s best to keep them in the freezer and take out when you need a little something to hold you over.

What size silicone trays did you use, in terms of ounces, per each bite? I have the heart shaped ones which fit 1/2 oz per bite and also have the round silicone egg bite molds that fit 2 oz each . What is the exact serving size in ounces of each bite for the nutrients you listed? I filled up one half of the 2 oz round silicone egg bite molds, so that would be an one ounce per bite...is that then still 1.1 net carbs per 1 oz bite? . When you wrote one bite = 1.1 net carbs, how many ounces of mix did you put in each silicone tray hole? I ended up with 8 one oz servings but you wrote 16 servings, does that mean you had 16 of 1/2 ounce servings per each silicone hole? These were delicious! Thank you. (I add a pinch of nutmeg and 1/4 tsp cinnamon)

I’m not a huge chocolate fan, so this fat bomb is perfect for me. The amount fit into the heart shaped moulds I bought on Amazon exactly! Now the trick is to limit my servings... they’re addicting.

Turmeric only helps with inflammation when eaten with black pepper. Add about 1/8 - 1/4 (taste after adding 1/8 tsp) finely ground black pepper pepper.

These are fantastic! I made the recipe exactly as written. I love that it doesn't require any sweetener. For anyone not familiar with coconut butter (also called coconut manna), it is an amazing investment for anyone doing keto or low-carb. I like the brand Nutiva, which I order from Amazon for about $10 per jar. It's a little pricey, but goes a long way. Sometimes I just microwave the jar and eat it with a spoon. So good in this recipe.

Probably the tastiest fat bombs that are sweet and savory I’ve ever tasted.

This is fantastic! Tweaked the spices a bit - less tumeric & added pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Delicious & so easy! Please add more recipes like this (dairy & gluten free please)! Question - what is the intended serving size per bite (nutritional info)?

I also struggled with the serving size, until I see under the name of your recipe (top of page) is your serving size also in grams. That helps a lot!

I didn’t have coconut butter so I made my own from a $ something bag of unsweetened coconut flakes just ground in my little food processor for about 4 minutes. It’s easy and cheap! 🥥

Is there a substitute for coconut butter?

Since I don't keep nut butters on hand I always sub with cream cheese. No problems or regrets to date.

You could probably use coconut oil. It hardens after being melted and mixed. Gives the same solid texture coconut butter would.

Tasty. I do not do sweets and this is my first fat bomb. Too expensive to buy coconut butter and almond butter so I bought one that was a combination and just added measurements together. Also I do not have the mini silicone tray so I refrigerated first and rolled into balls.
