High Protein Strawberry Cheesecake Keto Smoothie

8 ratings

This high-protein Keto smoothie makes for the perfect post-workout meal to replenish and rehydrate your body. It is sweet, creamy, zesty, and slightly tangy, just like a strawberry cheesecake. One serving of this smoothie has a whopping 28g of protein and only 5g of carbs, perfect for a high-protein Keto diet. You can prepare this low-carb beverage in a blender in under 5 minutes.

Can you adapt this recipe to a vegan diet?

Absolutely! Simply replace the cream cheese with vegan cream cheese, coconut yogurt, or silken tofu. You would also need to swap the protein powder for a vegan type. Make sure you adjust the macros accordingly.

Can you omit the strawberry extract from this high-protein Keto recipe?

The strawberry extract strengthens the strawberry flavor without adding more strawberries, which are high in carbohydrates. If you’d rather use strawberries only, then, by all means, replace the extract with a couple more pieces. Just bear in mind that your smoothie will have a higher carb content.

Can you use any protein powder?

Unfortunately, no. While it may seem like most protein powders are low-carb, they many contain a significant enough amount of carbohydrates to kick you out of ketosis, especially if they’re flavored. But don’t throw in the towel yet, because many protein powder brands are Keto-friendly. Some great options include whey protein isolate and collagen protein, containing 0g of carbs per serving.

Can you add more fats to this recipe?

Yes, you can add as much additional fat as your macros will allow, especially if you are trying to bulk. Drinking your fats will significantly help you reach your higher calorie goals. The only fat you may want to limit is MCT oil, as it can cause digestive issues, so stick with coconut oil or butter.

My first time making this and it is definitely delicious! I added a little more Cream cheese for a little more thickness. Also added a few ice cubes. I don’t have stevia so I replaced it with a dash of Monk fruit & Ethrytol blend and it was perfect. SO good!

I didn’t need stevia since I like things on the tart side. I also added collagen and fiber. It’s got a lovely fresh flavor and definitely going in my rotation!

I have it made this yet but I am going to. I have a few questions. Could I use blueberries, oat milk and coconut yogurt? Could you use chocolate whey protein powder? I really need a reply, thank you

Why not? Just look up the cal/carbs/fat/protein in blueberries vs the strawberries, and adjust the recipe. 😃

This is so incredibly tasty, and with such a high protein count helps for people who are doing proteins sparing. Quite a find thanks for sharing.

two things. 1) this protein powder by itself tastes artificial (to put it mildly). i suggest you find a different keto one. perhaps flavorless. note: this drink, once mixed, tastes really good. 2) i have no idea how big your ‘glass’ is. i’d understand the serving size better if it was provided in ounces. thanks!

Click on serving size arrow and change to ounces. Then change number of servings to size of glass you are using.

Stevia is BAD for you, all fake sugars are. I wish people wouldn’t put all that fake sugar in the products advertised to keto dieters

Stevia is the only one that isn't fake. It is a plant. You could grow it yourself.

Hello there, Stevia is made by a plant also Monks Fruit. I do find you get a cool sense. If you grind your monks fruit, it seem to take that cooling effect away and you use less sugar. My favorite sugar substitute is Allulose but it expensive

I grow stevia in my garden! I dry it and make a powder. It’s natural. Store bought is fine.

Stevia is a sweetener like sugar, it’s not a substitute, it’s not fake sugar.
