Ingredients

  • Brie Cheese

  • Maple Flavored Syrup by Lakanto

  • Garlic

  • Cinnamon, Ground

    0.5 teaspoon

  • Walnuts

    Walnuts

    ¼ cup, halves

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 370 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Step 2

    Score the brie across the top. Finely slice the garlic and slot into the scored cheese. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of syrup. Wrap the cheese in foil and place on a shallow oven tray. Bake for 7-8 minutes until the cheese is oozy and gooey.

    Whilst the cheese bakes, add the walnuts to a small pan along with the remaining syrup and cinnamon. Turn the heat to low/medium and toast the walnuts, stirring often to ensure they are evenly coated in the syrup. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until warmed and fragrant. Set aside.

    Top the baked cheese with the candied walnuts to serve.

    This was so delicious! I served it with cut-up slices of ham instead of crackers and topped with raspberries. Yum!
