What is the best type of American cheese to use?

My sauce is very thick the next day, what should I do?

If the nacho cheese sauce is thick the following day, reheat the cheese sauce adding 1-2 tbsp of heavy cream at a time until it is a dipping consistency again.

  • Step 1

    Dice the cheese into 1” dice. Add the diced cheese to a microwave-safe bowl. Then add the heavy cream.

    Microwave the mixture for 45 seconds. Then remove the bowl from the microwave and stir. Repeat for another 45 seconds and stir again. You want to make sure all the cheese is melted into the cream. If not, heat again in 20 seconds increments until melted. Serve hot!
