Low Carb Beef Tostadas

What is a tostada?

Tostada means “toasted” and is made using a crispy tortilla topped with meat and other taco-style ingredients. It is fun to pile them on with your favorite low carb toppings like lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream, avocados (or guac), diced tomatoes, and salsa. Use store-bought guacamole to make it easy and save time. You can top them with pickled red onions, pickled jalapenos, or freshly diced peppers to spice things up. How do you make a Keto tostada?

Keto tostadas are best made in the oven using a Keto tortilla. For this recipe, we used our Keto tortillas and toasted them in the oven. The tortillas themselves are easy to make as well as put together once toasted into a tostada.

What kind of meat is used on these tostadas?

We used our Best Keto Instant Pot Beef Machaca recipe for these tostadas. However, you can use shredded chicken, pork shoulder, or even shrimp.
