  • Chives, Raw

    1 teaspoon, cut pieces

  • Step 1

    Preheat a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 teaspoon of avocado oil and then the tofu.

    Crumble the tofu with a wooden spoon.

    Once crumbled, add ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt. Also, add the curry powder and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook like this for a minute or so stirring occasionally until tofu is hot.

    Remove to a plate. Sprinkle the top with fresh chopped chives (optional). Serve immediately.

    I was very surprised that I actually enjoyed this recipe as I am not a soft tofu fan, but the firm seems to be okay. I added some bacon bits and used butter to fry in & thought it as good.

      Can i use a different oil? I don't have avacado oil

        My nutritionist said fat is fat is fat - they're all the same *calories* but not the same in quality - if you prefer olive or something, I don't see any reason it should matter in calorie or fat count just whether it's as healthy or not.

      I added a couple teaspoons of nutritional yeast. No curry. Nice break from eggs.

        If you have an Indian store look for “black salt” it mimics the egg taste!! The salt isn’t black it has a light pink hue with a powder like texture.

              Added cayenne instead of curry. Very good! Also mixed in some bacon and cheddar cheese and created a scramble. So good

                Recipe calls for curry powder but it is not listed in the ingredients.

                  I’m not a huge tofu fan, but this was great! (With salt, pepper, and curry)
