I used “Genuine Coconut” found at Meijer in the refrigerated produce section and froze that. Reading the introduction to this recipe, it looks like it recommends additional ingredients (heavy cream, vanilla, stevia). After making the smoothie, I poured it over ice and vanilla stevia. Was very satisfying.

Try this with Califia farms coconut almond milk! I used Twinings brand chai tea bags from grocery store! Used a frother to break up coconut chunks. Mmmmm

Could you make a hot version of this by melting coconut butter in with the almond milk?

Adding coconut oil to a hot beverage is a great way to add keto fats in your diet! You may need to use a blender to fully emulsify the fat.

Could I do this with something not coconut? I'm not a fan of the texture

You could use coconut butter in a food processor with the Chai. It shouldn't have a texture at that point and coconut butter is just coconut chunks blended.

I wanted to love this recipe but I used the TJ coconut chunks and the smoothie was full of stringy fiber - I found the texture so gross that I couldn't drink it. Maybe this would work better for someone with a higher-powered blender.

Could consider straining through a sieve before drinking, if you love the flavor but not the texture 🐱🐱
