Can I Use a Different Protein?
Our quick and easy Keto stir fry has been prepared with ground pork. If you wanted to use a different protein, you could swap this for chicken, turkey, or a plant-based ground meat substitute. If you are using turkey or chicken, opt for ground thigh meat as this carries more fats and flavor and is less lightly to dry in the pan. Please be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes made to the original recipe.
What is Tamari Sauce?
Originating from Japan, Tamari sauce is very similar to soy sauce and is prepared from fermented soya beans. One of the main differences between tamari sauce and soy sauce is that tamari is often made without wheat, making it gluten-free. Be sure to check the labels of your tamari sauce to make sure it is gluten-free if this is required in your diet. If preferred, you may swap the tamari sauce directly for soy sauce in the same quantities. Please be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes made to the original recipe.
