The Best Keto Butter Coffee with Heavy Whipping Cream
This Keto BULLETPROOF® butter coffee is rich in fats to help keep you satiated between meals. Quick and easy to prepare, this makes a great breakfast on its own or an accompaniment to your Keto breakfast. Alternatively, this makes a lovely treat drink, perfect served alongside a slice of low-carb cake.
What ingredients make up this Keto butter coffee?
This Keto coffee is prepared with strong black coffee, erythritol, and unsalted butter. Once you have prepared and blended your butter coffee it is topped with a generous helping of whipped heavy cream and a sprinkle of sweet cinnamon. Although we have used erythritol in this recipe, you may use your preferred low-carb sweetener or alternatively omit it entirely if desired.
Here are some tips to make this Keto coffee:
You will need a blender or frother to mix your coffee. This is crucial in order to blend the fat from the butter into the hot coffee. You may also wish to use BULLETPROOF® Brain Octane Oil (MCT Oil) in place of butter if desired.
Can you adapt this coffee to a vegan diet?
Absolutely! The only ingredients in this recipe that aren't vegan are heavy cream and butter. Simply swap the cream for coconut milk and the butter for coconut oil or vegan butter.

Step 1
Start by preparing the cream. Add the cream to a bowl and whisk vigorously until thick and fluffy. Alternatively you may wish to do this in the bowl of a stand mixer.Step 2
Prepare your Keto beverage by adding 1.5 cups of hot coffee to a large mug. Add the butter and erythritol or your preferred sweetener. Stir well to allow the butter to melt into the coffee. Transfer to a blender or if the mug is large enough, use a hand held blender or frother to blitz the fats into the coffee until well combined and foamy.Step 3
Top the hot coffee with the whipped cream. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon over the whipped cream. Serve immediately.

Do I have to use Erythritol or is there a substitute I can use?

Can you use salted butter or does it have to be unsalted?

I almost always use salted butter. If I buy unsalted, it's usually by accident. Never had trouble with any recipe.

Yes, I prefer salted butter, if I have unsalted I add a dash of Himalayan salt.

I added cinnamon sticks with the coffee grounds to brew together instead and it turned out very good, first time trying it, yummy 😋

I have trouble getting fat macros so hope this helps. I used MCT oil and it tasted much better than I expected.

None of the ingredients contain Carbs! Where do the carbs in the finished product come from???
AwesomeAvocado648879 2 months ago
Most heavy creams have less than a carb per tabspoon but on average equal 2tbs = 1 carb for average heavy cream hope this helps

Carbs are not in heavy whipping cream, there are 0 carbs, so this is a good 0 carb option ☺️

Carbs come from the cream (dairy)

Erythritol has carbs i think. I use stevia.

Tasted like "comfort food" 😋! Surprisingly satisfying, I breezed through the lunch hour, and still was not hungry.

Delish. I subbed coconut oil for the butter. Will definitely enjoy this again and again.

Add MCT oil if you need to up your fat intake. I usually put my hot coffee, butter, and MCT oil in my ninja bullet then add the whip cream on top

Is the whipped cream added last? And is it suppose to just rest on top or do I mix & blend and it with the coffee? Thanks.
RousingCauliflower441151 2 years ago
You can do either. I melt butter in a mason jar (10 seconds in microwave) then add MCT oil, 1 tsp. of sweetener, add fresh hot coffee and blend it with handheld frother or you can use a blender. Then add 1 TBS of in-whipped

They added it on top like a dessert drink.

I like to add swerve brown sugar and a half cap of vanilla. I have also added a scoop of protein powder

For breakfast I often combine 1/2 coffee, premier protein and one tablespoon of brain octane and froth. I do it in a large glass because it doubles in volume! Keeps me full for hours!

I was skeptical about butter in my coffee but I love this recipe!

It makes all the difference when you blend it or use a frother. The oil doesn’t separate. Love it.
