Chia Seed Benefits

Like many other seeds, chia seeds have high fiber content and have a lot of nutritional value packed into a small serving. Chia seeds are also believed to have antioxidants, which help with regulating blood pressure, heart rate, and the overall circulatory system. This can reduce your rate of getting heart disease and other heart-related conditions. Including chia seeds in your diet even just once a week can be beneficial to your health.

What Are Hemp Hearts?

Hemp hearts are another name for hemp seeds, which come from the hemp plant of course! The hemp seeds you can buy at a grocery store will typically be hulled. It’s the soft center of the hemp seeds that hold all the omega fatty acids, which are beneficial to your health. Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids are essential to fighting cholesterol and promoting heart health.

Tasted good until I warmed it up in the microwave this morning for only 30 seconds and then it immediately turned very bitter. I had to add a tablespoon of sugar-free peanut butter just to try kill the bad taste & test didn’t even work. There should be a warning in the recipe not to heat it up- must be eaten cold.
