  • Step 1

    Peel and roughly dice the onion, roughly chop the celery and peel the garlic. Arrange in the bottom of the crockpot.

    Add the chicken and sprinkle over all the dried herbs, spices, zest, salt and pepper. Rub the seasonings all over the chicken.

    Turn the heat to high and cook for five hours or until completely cooked through and the juices run clear. You can serve with some of the pan juices or use them as a base to make a rich gravy!
