Keto Moroccan Orange Cake

This festive dessert is beautifully moist and tender at the same time, and it can easily become one of your favorite desserts or afternoon treats. It is beautiful when served alone, but it also works great with some Keto jam or sugar-free whipped cream. The best part about this delicious Keto Moroccan orange cake is that it is super easy to prepare – about 10 minutes of your actual work. It also doesn't require any special ingredients. A small amount of orange extract and orange zest will perfectly balance the sweet taste and won't add too many carbs to your daily menu. The cake can be stored for days and still taste just as fresh as the day you made it– just remember to keep it in the refrigerator.

Are oranges Keto-friendly?

In general, oranges are not Keto friendly. However, it is all about the number of carbs you actually eat. A small amount of orange zest is added to this recipe to enhance the overall flavor while keeping you within your carb limits.

How to store this Keto Moroccan orange cake?

The cake can easily last up to 7 days in the refrigerator. It tastes even better on the second day. Just make sure to keep it in air-tight containers or wrap it in a piece of plastic wrap.

I agree it sounds really good but it is confusing saying orange juice then in recipe show orange extract. Also, what is the difference between orange peel and dried orange peel pieces?

You're right! It should say orange extract in the intro. I fixed it :) Orange peel is a fresh zest and the dried peel is the one you can get in the spice section - it has a great flavor and it's perfect to garnish the cake. You can use both or just one of those. You can also try frosting the cake with some cream cheese, butter, and powdered sweetener. It will take a bit longer but it's worth it :)

I would guess the orange peel is fresh zest. The dried you can get in the spice section. I’m probably just going to use dried. I have no other reason to buy a fresh orange. That’s too tempting for me 😂

Sounds yummy! I’m just a bit confused though. Intro states that there is orange juice in the recipe. Would that be the orange extract?

I think orange extract is not orange juice but more like a small bottle of vanilla but orange flavour . U can buy in baking section of store.
