Sweet and Salty Keto Electrolyte Fat Bombs

6 ratings

These easy Sweet and Salty Keto Electrolyte Fat Bombs are an excellent and filling snack during the summer days or after a workout. These nutritious super seed fat bombs are a powerful combination of sunflower and pumpkin seeds (both of which provide electrolytes), almond butter, and Himalayan salt. They don't require any cooking and are ready in about 10 minutes (please note that the total preparation time includes the time necessary for the balls to firm up in the fridge). This fantastic snack is a perfect option for the entire family (whether on Keto or not), and it's pretty easy to customize. You can change up the amounts of seeds, add some nuts or cacao nibs, or substitute the almond butter with the same amount of peanut butter. You can also add some more Himalayan salt according to taste. Enjoy!

How long will these Keto fat bombs last?

These Keto electrolyte fat bombs will last for about 10 days in the refrigerator. Store them in airtight containers and refrigerate until ready to serve. You can also place the leftovers in a ziplock bag and freeze them for a few months.

What are electrolytes?

Electrolytes are essential minerals (like calcium, potassium, and sodium) your body needs for various functions. They keep you hydrated, regulate muscle contractions, and help balance your pH levels. Our body tends to lose electrolytes through urine and sweat, which is why it's crucial to have a balanced diet rich in foods that will help restore the electrolytes. Some of the best sources of electrolytes include nuts, broccoli, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, soy and almond milk, coconut water, pickle juice, and salt.

How to make Keto fat bombs?

Keto fat bombs are a fantastic snack and an excellent way to add some essential nutrients to your diet. There are hundreds of different recipes out there, but they usually combine healthy sources of fat (such as different types of nut butter, cream cheese, nuts, or seeds), low-carb sweeteners, and some other ingredients like cocoa powder, cacao nibs, and liquids.

I plan to experiment with vanilla extract. And maybe coconut cream instead of almond milk
