Ingredients
Green Beans (string Beans), Raw
9 ounce
Cilantro
2 tablespoon
Ginger Root, Raw
1-½ slice - 1" diameter
Olive Oil
1 tablespoon
Garlic
1 clove
Scallions
1 large
Salt, Sea Salt
¼ teaspoon
Black Pepper
⅛ teaspoon

Step 1
Add the green beans to a small saucepan of boiling water. Add a little pinch of salt and simmer for 3-4 minutes until fork tender. Drain completely and steam dry.Step 2
Whilst the beans are cooking, crush the garlic, finely grate the ginger and thinly slice the scallion. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a low/medium heat and add the ginger and garlic. Sweat gently for a minute or two until tender.Step 3
Add the green beans to the pan with a pinch of salt and pepper and stir well to coat in the ginger and garlic. Cook for a minute or two more until hot through.Step 4
Roughly chop the cilantro and stir through the beans to serve.

Why is this recipe so high in carbs? Other green bean dishes are fewer carbs for larger portions. The spices have no carbs, garlic and ginger in these amounts are minimal in carbs, and the 9 ounces of green beans are divided across 4 portions to approximately 2.7 carbs per portion. So how do you get 9.1 net carbs per 3-ounce serving. Something is wrong. Please reply before I recalculate it myself.
