The Best Keto Bread Recipe
If you are looking for the best Keto bread recipe, your search can stop here. I love pre-slicing this bread and having it on hand at all times for a good slather of grass-fed butter or peanut butter. Having a carrier for fat makes it easy for those on a low carb or Keto diet to hit their fat macros, which are high. The Keto bread is made using almond flour, psyllium husk powder for structure, and egg whites. The dough starts very dense and then rises considerably in the oven. To shape the dough, the dough is formed into a log shape and then placed into a loaf pan which makes it easy to slice into individual portions post bake.
How long does Keto bread take to cook?
Since this bread is gluten-free, it takes a considerable amount of time to bake. Thankfully, gluten-free and sugar-free bread can bake quite a long time without burning. The bake time for this bread is at least 1 ½ hours at 350 F. You will want to make sure the center is cooked all the way through so it is puffed and not dense.
How long does Keto bread last at room temperature?
Since Keto bread is higher in water content, it doesn’t last more than three days at room temperature. If you are still enjoying your bread for up to three days, place it into the fridge or the freezer and put out what you need as you go.

Step 1
Preheat an oven to 350 F. In the stand mixer bowl, combine the almond flour, psyllium husk powder, kosher salt, and baking powder. Combine the ingredients with a paddle attachment.Step 2
Add the apple cider vinegar to the boiling water. Then slowly pour this mixture into the dry ingredients while the paddle attachment is spinning at low to medium speed. Then add in the egg whites. Feel free to use liquid egg whites to make the process of making this dough easier.Step 3
Turn the dough of the bowl with a dough scraper. Form it into a log shape to fit into a loaf pan. Have a standard loaf pan handy that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Place the dough into the loaf pan and then into the oven.Step 4
Bake the loaf for at least 1 ½ hours. If it starts to deflate at all while it exits the oven, be sure to bake it for another 30 minutes or so. Once the loaf is finished baking, turn off the heat in the oven and allow it to cool with the oven. Once cooled, turn it out onto a cutting board and slice it into twelve equal slices.

We bake as 4 buns, then slice into 3 slices each. (12 servings). The top and bottom can be used separately or as a hamburger bun. They hold up well when you really need a keto sandwich option. Individual slices toast or griddle well. Remember to count both slices if using 2. Warning: 2 slices will be VERY filling!
