Keto Christmas Ham
This Christmas ham is a great way to enjoy the holidays without compromising on your low carb diet. Tender, flavorful ham is studded with whole cloves roasted to perfection and then topped with a brown sugar glaze. The clove perfumes the entire ham with wonderful festive flavor. The recipe can be used as a base for all kinds of flavors - the only limit is your imagination. You will love this Christmas Ham paired with other low carb sides and desserts.
What other seasonings can I add?
The brown sugar glaze can have herbs steeped into it like rosemary or thyme sprigs. Not to mention other holiday spices like ground cinnamon and allspice can work well. For fruit flavors, add sugar-free jams to the glaze.
What kind of ham should I use?
Look for a spiral cut ham that has very low sugar added to the ham. Most hams will have a small amount of sugar added to the meat and usually have a glaze packet. Toss out the glaze packet and make the glaze in this recipe. If you are concerned about dairy sensitivities, replace the salted butter with water (the butter provides a more decadent glaze).
What can I serve with Low Carb Christmas Ham?
