Keto Mug Fathead Bread
If you have been on a Keto or Low Carb diet for a while, you will be very familiar with fathead doughs! If so, then this recipe will blow your mind! It is a fathead dough that can be cooked in the microwave. Cream cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese are melted together. Low Carb flours like almond flour, and coconut flour are added along with a pasture-raised egg. We like to use the most wholesome ingredients possible in easy recipes like these because you get the best of both worlds (simple yet very nutritious). The mixture is combined well with a spoon directly in a coffee mug. The bread is cooked for just under two minutes until puffy and light. This fathead dough bread is perfect for spreading other high-fat toppings like grass-fed butter, coconut butter, liver pate or nut butter over the top. Since this recipe is simple, feel free to add mix-ins like flax or chia seeds. You could also add chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts. This fathead dough recipe is perfect for busy mornings and weeknights.
What is fathead dough?
Fathead dough is a gluten-free, Keto and Low Carb friendly dough made using mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, egg, and some type of Low Carb flour (like almond or coconut).
Can I make any substitutions for the cheeses?
You can swap the mozzarella cheese for any other easy-to-melt mild shredded cheese like Pepper Jack or Colby Jack.
Is fathead dough Keto?
Yes! Fathead dough is perfectly Keto and Low Carb because it is higher in protein, full of healthy fats, and extremely low in net carbs due to the use of Low Carb flours like almond flour and coconut flour.
To make the ultimate pairing, serve this with other Keto recipes like our Keto Blueberry Goat Cheese Spread for a simple and quick afternoon snack.

Everyone is asking about cream cheese. Just convert it from ounces to tablespoons. 2oz is 4 tablespoons. Use Google people. I'm going to try this tomorrow

Just upgraded today, was it a mistake? The first recipe I look at doesn’t even have the right directions or calories?!?!

Why are there calories 669? I'm starting to wonder about other recipe nutritional values not being accurate.
