Keto Air Fryer Chili Salt and Vinegar Almonds

Almonds make up a great part of a well-balanced Keto diet. They are perfectly balanced with protein, fats, and carbohydrates to make an excellent snack or top off a meal. These almonds are tossed in a mixture of apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and crushed chilies. They are toasted in the air fryer until perfectly toasted. I love how simple using an air fryer is for making toasted nuts! It is especially convenient when you want to make a small portion.

What if I do not have a mortar and pestle?

If you do not have a mortar and pestle to crush the dried chiles, use a small food processor instead.

Where can I find dried chilies or how can I make them?

You can find dried chiles at Mexican grocery stores or most conventional grocery stores as well. If you want to make some, place some fresh chiles into an air fryer at 180 F for 3 hours. Alternatively, you can crush red pepper flakes into smaller pieces using a mortar and pestle or a food processor. You can also use pre-ground chili powder.

What kind of vinegar should I use?

This recipe uses apple cider vinegar because of the amazing taste and benefits. However, feel free to use your favorite vinegar.

    Crush the dried chili peppers in a mortar and pestle.

    Combine the almonds, apple cider vinegar, pink sea salt, and the dried chili powder together in a medium bowl.

    Add the nuts to the bottom of an air fryer basket and heat at 315 F for 10 minutes. Allow them to cool down and crisp before serving.
