    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Season the turkey leg with a pinch of salt and pepper, then wrap securely in the bacon strips.

    Add the syrup, oil, paprika, garlic powder and a little salt and pepper to a mixing bowl and stir well to combine.

    Set half of the marinade aside and liberally coat the wrapped turkey in the remaining half.

    Transfer to the oven for 1 hour to bake. Remove from the oven and spoon over the remaining glaze. Bake for a further 30 minutes or until completely cooked through and the bacon is crisp and golden.
